We're really excited for the Reptile and Exotic Pet Expo on Sunday at the Capital Banquet Hall, 6435 Dixie Road on the corner of Courtney Park.
This month's expo is billed to be filled with reptiles, amphibians, insects, exotic pocket pets, supplies, feeders and even parrots! This is a fantastic opportunity to see some cool animals, meet breeders/retailers, ask lots of questions about specific animals and pick up supplies - if you need any. Just as a heads up, there is an entrance fee.
For more information on this Sunday's expo (Feb 22nd), please visit their website, www.reptileexpo.ca
Hope to see you at the show!

How was this show?
ReplyDeleteThis show was okay. There were more people than usual right at open, which was nice to see. Some of the vendors had some really sexy new displays. All of the staple animals where represented at the show - balls, red tails, cresteds, leopard geckos, etc). There were even some very gorgeous morphs. There were even birds...
ReplyDeleteFor me, well I like the weirder or rarer stuff since I have all of the staples all ready. Outside of a pretty yellow big eye tree frog, there really wasn't much that I was into at the show.
I'm hoping that with the warmer weather and new hatchlings, there should be some really cool stuff. I'd love to get my hands on things like scorpion geckos! And it would be nice to see more people breeding some different kinds of cool, fun herps.
I'd also love to find some older animals there. the ones with a good temperment that have just too big for their owners to look after or their current owner just can't look after anymore. I don't know how something like that could work, but it would be nice to have a place where people could move just one or two animals so they can find a new family. But that's just a thought.
All in all, I'm terribly excited for the next show. I've all ready booked the time off so we can go.
Will you be coming?
